Some Of my Favorite Kayaking pictures

Night practice in Gratz
Eric Jackson at worlds in Gratz Austria
Devon Barker at Bobs Hole
Eric Jackson on the Ottawa river. (front loop)
And my most favorite kayaking shot is this one of Dane Jackson. Dane Started Kayaking before the sport was ready for him. At only 50 pounds, he used a womens kayaking vest, a skateboarding helmet, a cut down paddle, a kids boat that was cut down, among many various items that would keep him having fun. This picture epitomizes the reason that Jackson Kayak was founded. The famous Eric Jackson created Jackson Kayak to help kids around the world paddle with their parents.

Snowshoeing

I went showshoeing this weekend. My friend David and I Hiked to the top of Pilot peak. When we reached the top we met with some snowmobilers who could not believe that we had hiked that far. One said that he could not have done it in the summertime. I had a great time though.

Butterfly Effect

We recently visited Pacific Grove California. The article that I read boasted butterfly's galore and showed a picture of butterfly's on top of each other creating a look of stained glass windows. Unfortunately the best that we could find was a few. It was still fun to get out of town.
The above was created for 5 pictures stitched together. The giant redwoods are amazing.

Lots of Pictures

I had to jump the fence, and hike down for this shot. It is hard for me to resist breaking the rules, when you see something so amazing.
The above photo, and the two below are all Johnson Canyon. A very easy hike, and some of my favorite pictures.

I had previously posted this as Two Jack Lake. I was mistaken. This is medicine lake, and a better photo at that.

All the fun

After our hike, we decided to test how strong we had become on this poor tree.
Balance testing. The scary part about this, is that we had not yet started the hike. If your boots got wet, it would have been miserable. The tree was not really stable and it moved back and forth as well as up and down.
I had colored lights on my headlamp. This was one of my favorites.
We found this great picnic area that we could get out of the rain one day. It had this cool fireplace inside, so there was no smoke, and still warmth. When we were ready for bed, we threw some water on the top, and were surprised at the amount of steam, then we got a bit creative with it.
Goofing off. Special thanks to David Swindler for taking these pics.

Lake Minnewanka

The lake was pieceful and calm. In the distance you could hear a loon coo. There were no bugs, the air was cool, and the scenery spactacular.

Two Jack Lake

I only stopped here for a second to snap a couple shots. I am sure glad that I did. This looks like a place that you would have to hike to for miles, but I was just standing in the parking lot. On my way back by, there was a bus full of people snapping pictures.

Mistaya Canyon

This place was crowded with tourists, gathered to watch the water wind its way through this beautiful canyon made of limestone. Some of the best scenery was off the beaten path.
This was taken in the parking lot of a convenience store.
